I spent this afternoon making some decadent caramel peanut butter cookies. It started with a basic peanut butter cookie dough;
I used the rounded back of my strawberry huller to make indentations in the dough that the caramel would be placed in. After all the cookies were baked and cooled, I started on the caramel sauce;
Water, sugar, corn syrup, salt and heavy cream. Once the caramel was done and had cooled down I mixed in the chopped nuts and started filling the cooled cookies.
Now to wait until the caramel has hardened for mass consumption!
