Tonight was b.s. at Joanna's house up in p-town. Joanna does not claim to be a cook and orders out most of the time, but tonight she took a chance and made the most delicious corn and bean salad and a potato and corn chowder with kielbasa. Such a wonderful welcome for Fall.
Joanna served us on a set of dishes we hadn't seen before and completely went gaga over. The plates were rippled and square and nested perfectly on top of each other. Aren't they the cutest? They insisted I matched the dishes, but my dress is really gray, not blue.
While we enjoyed our dessert, Rufus and Diego - Joanna's dogs, joined us for a little snorting and licking.
That's Rufus the bulldog on the left and Diego the German shepherd on the right. Rufus gave my ankles a good and proper cleaning while hoovering the floor of any stray debris. How could you not love that face?!

Do me a favor? Steal those dishes for me. They're absolutely the cutest! And I need fancy new dishware so when I take pictures for my cookbook it's fancy. :D
